The 2nd edition of 9 Bairros is already available

9 Bairros is a participative digital platform promoted by the Ponta Delgada – Azores 2027 bid that intends to showcase the reality of the archipelago.
This editorial project had interviews, profiles, chronicles, recipes, tour suggestions in the islands, among others. It was organised in 9 sections: editorial, booklet of clouds (photography), bandstand (video), chronicle, house special (recipes), what you want is talking (interviews), human nature (profiles), scribble (visual arts), let's go out (routes) and walkman (playlists).
In 2021, it was directed by Nuno Costa Santos and edited by Sara Leal and Margarida Sodré. That stage ended with the print edition, that came out in March 2022.
After a pause, the digital platform came back in September 2022, under the direction of Margarida Sodré and Andreia Fernandes.
During its 11 months of activity, it involved inhabitants and people who are passionate about the archipelago. It gathered contributions from all islands: 57 from Terceira, 46 from São Miguel, 18 from Faial, 15 from Pico, 14 from Flores, 12 from Santa Maria, 11 from São Jorge, 11 from Corvo and 10 from Graciosa.
The second edition of 9 Bairros, available here, came out at the end of February 2023 and is reaching all of the archipelago and several places of the world, through the Houses of the Azores network. Here is a list of the places where it can be found in the 9 islands of the archipelago.
