9 Bairros is back

The 9 Bairros (9 Neighborhoods) website is back with new content and a renewed will to show the people of this region. This digital publication, created by the Ponta Delgada – Azores 2027 candidacy for European Capital of Culture, intends to unite the Azorean islands all of those who are a part of it. 
This pilot-project was initiated in the first phase of the bid and culminated in a publication that reached the 9 corners of the Azores. Now, it is gaining a new impetus and giving, once again, voice to the community.
There are stories, roadmaps, playlists, photographs, drawings and recipes. Beyond the chronicles and editorials, there are invitations to talk and go out, booklets of clouds, bandstands, walkmans, scribbles, and, because nothing good ever comes from an empty stomach, the house special. All of this by the hands of Azoreans, by birth or by choice.
