Photography contest "Our Nature is Human" ends today

The photography contest “Our Nature is Human”, promoted in partnership with AFAA –  Association of Amateur Photographers of the Azores, ends today, at 23:59 (azorean time).
Photographs must be submitted through the email naturezahumana@afaa.pt. Each email can only contain one photograph, but every contestant may send up to four emails.
This contest  is aimed at all photographers, whether natural or residing in mainland Portugal and the islands, and will select 20 photographs.
From that selection, a winner will emerge, who will be awarded a trip for two people to one of the European Capitals of Culture in 2022, as well as two honorable mentions, which will receive a monetary prize of 250 euros each.
For this call, the subject of the candidacy, Human Nature, serves as a motto to think about the Culture of the Place, the evolutionary relationships of fear, respect, care, construction, between human beings and nature and the appreciation of our sense of Humanity and respect for Nature as one.
The 20 selected photographs will be exhibited in the streets of Ponta Delgada, will be a part of the Ponta Delgada - Azores 2027 bid book, and will be shared in the various media of the candidacy.
The jury is formed by the professional photographers Pepe Brix, representing AFAA, and Paulo Goulart and the communication manager of the candidacy, Inês Linhares Dias.
Only color photographs taken from January 2021 onward will be admitted to the competition.
